Ar(you)bored?

Clever leaf puns -- this is one of my favorites since it appears minimally altered from its original state and really reminds me of them.

  1. heyy babies and gentleman. Just wanted to slide up in here and reminisce about all the good times we've had here at reedit it, over the years. Like remember when Brian was on HBO fambly? And remember the Andrew Stern years - when he was talking a hot mess that you we weren't trying to hear? Remember jellies? Remember when acovell was throwing mad shots at n****s with the raccoon story? Remember the trooper made him shovel it up and everything? psshhh... that was wild! Remember the crazy times when jewish girls could have black man names? Remember when yoshi robbed that dominican for sweatpants money? That was straight hip hop.

  12. Why take down guest posting? It's all I have in this world. You're not really making the comment boards any more official. It's really just us in here.

  13. I didn't take down guest posting -- just anonymous posting. You basically just have to have a name...so your novelty posts are safe.

  14. nope. Try posting under name / url. cant do it

  15. Anyone - includes Anonymous Users
    ***Registered Users - includes OpenID
    Users with Google Accounts
    Only members of this blog

Those are the 4 groups I can select for commenters -- I selected the starred one. Alternatively I can have the comments sent to me for review before they're posted but I don't feel like doing that. It's not the novelty accounts so much as the "Anonymous" posts so...yeah. You can make as many OpenIDs as you want, I guess

  16. you have to register each one and confirm by email. Effectively, it eliminates the ability to choose your posting name. What's wrong with anonymous posts? Trolling? There is no stated purpose for this blog so, by definition, there are no trolls. Or everyone is a troll. Not to knock the blog (because i love the blog) but the flame war was the best part. The only reason that happened is because an anonymous poster put up an inflammatory comment. I'm not about to make a new account so I can amuse myself for a few seconds each time. I say we allow for anonymous posting. This is a new day that champions civil liberties. This is a new day of hope. This is a new day where someone (and I don't know who) can post as djBerrie. That's comic gold.

  17. yeah, the flame war was the best part when it was funny because we thought it was ACTUALLY anonymous. but it wasnt.

i really like the novelty accounts too, but threads full of "Anonymous"'s...i dunno. i'll think about it. other thoughts, anyone?

  18. It's still pretty anonymous. It's still some rando from the cyber-nets

  19. Still, next time it might not be matt. Then, it will be truly hilarious.

  21. ok, changed it back. only because of your civil liberties argument...if I restrict the anonymous posters then -- and only then -- the terrorists win.
